Quincy Castillo has been holding digital photography and digital retouching workshops for a few years now and enjoys the activity. He has held workshops at the Manila Polo Club, at the Filipinas Heritage Library as well as at the Rockwell Club.

Although he used to have an average of 25-30 participants in previous workshops, he has decided to cut this number down to between 12-16 participants. Quincy has also added 3 other teaching assistants to establish a teacher to student ratio of 1 is to 3 or 1 is to 4. He has been doing this recently and the result is that participants learn at a faster pace due to the almost individualized instruction.

The requirements of his basic course is that the participant brings a digital camera as well as a laptop. Other subject matters which will be offered in the near future are:

When family and friends get together, everyone is very
happy about it but when the party is over, many times we wish we had nice pictures to remind us of those happy moments.

Join this workshop so that you can capture the lives of your family and friends and learn how to improve your work in your computer before sending them via email or posting in a free website.

The workshops are held on the last Saturday of every month from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
We will be serving a simple lunch from 12-1 pm and two meriendas

In Photoshop there are
many ways to lighten
pictures. And if your picture
turned out to be too bright,
there are also ways to make
it darker.

If your laptop has Internet wireless connection capabilities, you can connect
to our DSL and send your pictures.
There will be a short presentation before the morning and afternoon sessions.

What you will need to join this workshop:
• A laptop with Adobe Photoshop installed in it
• A digital camera with the manual and a cable to connect it to your laptop

We will help you with the following but please make sure you have the cables:
• Connecting your digital camera to your laptop
• Downloading your pictures to your laptop (we can assist you but only if you have
your camera manual and a means of connecting to your computer (usually a cable).

Information you need to provide us one week before the workshop:
• Your contact info including email address
• Your laptop brand and the system installed in it and the version of Photoshop
• Your digital camera brand and model

Why we need the information above:
• We need to research your computer and camera system before the workshop
• We need to be prepared to help you use your camera

The maximum number of participants is just 12.
Quincy Castillo will be the main resource person but we will have 3 teaching
assistants who are also very familiar with digital photography and photoshop.
The price of this workshop is P4,000.
As we have several topics to cover, we will start the class promptly at 9 am.
Lunchbreak is from 12-1pm and the afternoon session starts at 1:00 pm

Club of the Philippines, the oldest and most prestigious photographic society in Asia
